Thank you for helping others pass on this legacy in the form of real, played music. My community in Oceania will make the air around us vibrate with it on the strings of dulcimer, autoharp, and guitar. -- KapaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10879600.post-36288362188298731852013-08-08T09:18:53.661-07:002013-08-08T09:18:53.661-07:00Thanks so much for thisThanks so much for thisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10879600.post-9359741261145324702013-01-29T09:33:41.226-08:002013-01-29T09:33:41.226-08:00I like your blog very much. But with all due respect I must point out that that 1965 was the year Richard and Mimi kept the entire audience standing out in a downpour at The Newport Folk Festival, not 1966 as it says in your blog entry. I know because I was there that day and stood out in the rain rather than run away from the wonderful music I heard on the stage. Their appearance at Newport was only a few months after the release of Richard and Mimi's first album "Celebrations for a Grey Day." Anyway, Richard died in April of 1966 and didn't have much time that year to do much except celebrate for a very short time the publication of his first novel "Been Down so Long it Looks Like Up to Me." Thanks for your blog--it's great.Arthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00552254936859077228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10879600.post-81039387278805517382011-06-26T13:56:24.641-07:002011-06-26T13:56:24.641-07:00I was hooked on the Dulcimer as soon as I saw Dick...I was hooked on the Dulcimer as soon as I saw Dick and Mimi sitting on the campus at SFSC, a white German Shepherd nearby. I am from No. Calif, lived in Bay Area, Mill Valley, and now in Nevada, with relatives in Winnemucca, in case you break down there again. Basques will always help you out! Thank you for making this available.
